Originally built by Wally Baldwin in the late 1980s, Restaway holds a special place in the Baldwin Boats story. Recently purchased and completely refurbished by Chris and Madison Baldwin, this classic vessel has been thoughtfully restored to honour its heritage while being upgraded for modern comfort and reliability.
The refurbishment included a fully re-fibreglassed roof and an all-new top deck roof structure, restoring strength and durability to the vessel’s exterior. The front and rear deck walls have been completely re-clad, giving the boat a fresh, modern exterior finish.
Inside, Restaway was stripped back to its shell and rebuilt with new interior lining, a fully upgraded kitchen, and a range of refreshed fittings throughout. A new water pump and updated systems ensure improved functionality for years to come.
To future-proof the vessel, we installed a SigEnergy solar system, delivering improved efficiency and dependable off-grid capability.
From its origins in the Baldwin family to its modern transformation, Restaway now begins a new chapter — a timeless Mildura houseboat, restored with experience, care, and craftsmanship.
